My Sister Kept Walking Around My Husband in Just a Towel and Called It a ‘Test’ – Then One Day, He Did Something That Made Her Turn Bright Red
“Seriously? You’re threatened because I’m wearing a towel?”
“No.”
“Because if you trust Andrew—”
“Kayla.”
She took a sip of coffee.
“I’m just saying, this sounds like a husband problem, not a towel problem.”

“No. It’s a you-ignoring-me problem.”
Something about that made her smile.
Not a kind smile.
“Honestly?”
She put down her mug.
“Think of it as a test.”
I stared at her.
“A what?”
“A test.”
“For Andrew?”
“Exactly.”
She said it casually.
“If another woman walking around in a towel is enough to tempt him, wouldn’t you rather know now?”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“You’re deliberately trying to tempt my husband?”
“No.”
She actually rolled her eyes.
“I’m seeing whether he *can* be tempted.”
“Those aren’t as different as you seem to think.”
“If he fails, that’s on him.”
I folded my arms.
“And when your sister asks you not to do something in her house?”
Kayla shrugged.
“You’re making this much bigger than it is.”
That evening, I told Andrew.
He was loading the dishwasher.
When I finished, he remained quiet for several seconds.
Then:
“She actually called it a test?”
“Twice.”
He pushed the dishwasher rack closed.
“I’ll stay out of it.”
“Why?”
“She’s your sister.”
At the time, that sounded reasonable.
Three days later, I understood why it wasn’t.
Sunday morning, I was making toast when I heard Kayla coming downstairs.
Andrew sat at the table drinking coffee.
Then she appeared.
Same towel.
Same bare feet.
Same complete refusal to respect what I’d asked.
I put down the knife.
“Kayla—”
Andrew touched my wrist.
“Hang on.”
I looked at him.
He stood.
“Let me answer this one.”
